Gangbuk-gu Supports Flood Relief Supplies to Sister Cities Iksan-si and Buyeo-gun

Provided flood relief supplies worth approximately 1.5 million KRW including water and ion beverages to Iksan-si and Buyeo-gun on the 21st and 24th

Seoul's Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Lee Soon-hee) delivered flood relief supplies to Iksan-si in Jeonbuk and Buyeo-gun in Chungnam, which suffered flood damage due to heavy rain continuing since the 9th, on the 21st and 24th.

Iksan-si and Buyeo-gun were declared special disaster areas for heavy rain damage on the 19th after experiencing massive human and material damage such as landslides, river embankment collapses, and flooding of houses and farmland caused by record-breaking heavy rain.

In response, Gangbuk-gu supported relief supplies worth about 1.5 million KRW each, including water, ion beverages, and Choco Pie, items identified as necessary for disaster victims at the recovery sites in Iksan-si and Buyeo-gun to encourage their swift recovery.

Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the citizens of Iksan and Buyeo who suffered damage to their hard-earned farmland and other areas due to this heavy rain. I sincerely hope that the recovery will be completed as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, Iksan-si established a sisterhood relationship with Gangbuk-gu in 2011, and Buyeo-gun in 2022, promoting various exchange projects such as direct agricultural product sales and participation in festivals of both cities.
