Lotte Department Store announced on the 25th that it will launch a unique collaboration popup store targeting customers in their 20s and 30s.
‘Noted World’ at Jamsil Lotte World Mall will hold a collaboration popup with the MMORPG game (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) ‘Lost Ark’ from July 29 to August 13. Lost Ark recorded about 1.32 million simultaneous global users last year. Under the theme of ‘Noted World Adventure’ featuring Lost Ark’s mascot ‘Mokoko,’ the entire 6th floor, approximately 330㎡ (100 pyeong), will be transformed into an exhibition space utilizing characters from ‘Noted’ and ‘Lost Ark,’ and a large photo zone will be created.
Limited edition goods co-created by Noted and Lost Ark will also be introduced. Actively considering the tastes of Lost Ark fans who enjoy the game, in addition to collaboration donuts, computer and mobile goods such as ‘desk pads,’ ‘keycap sets,’ and ‘smart talks’ have been prepared. To commemorate this popup, customers who purchase the limited-quantity ‘Mokoko Melon Cream Donut Set’ will receive additional ‘Noted X Lost Ark’ collaboration stickers and pin buttons. Also, visitors to the popup will be given a ‘welcome fan’ regardless of purchase.
Since collaboration products are produced in limited quantities temporarily, they have high collectible value, sparking a frenzy of open runs and sell-out crazes among brand enthusiasts. While collaborations were previously centered on fashion brands or involved celebrities participating in production within the same industry, recently, unique collaborations crossing industry boundaries have emerged, accelerating the collaboration trend even further.
On the B1 floor of Jamsil Lotte World Mall, a unique popup combining fashion and desserts will run until the 15th of next month. The French-inspired young classic fashion brand ‘Lorarora’ is collaborating with the famous dessert shop in Seochon, ‘Victoria Bakery,’ to present various collaboration products under the theme ‘Lazy Sunday Picnic.’ In particular, the interior is designed to create a cozy atmosphere as if the ‘Victoria Bakery’ store in Seochon has been relocated, and in addition to fashion items, tableware such as plates and mugs, as well as aprons, are sold together, gaining great popularity mainly among female customers in their 20s and 30s.
Gil Ok-gyun, head of the Deli & Snack team at Lotte Department Store, said, “Since this collaboration popup between Noted and Lost Ark is a meeting of popular brands in each field, the synergy effect will be even greater,” adding, “We will continue to strive to present special content unique to Lotte Department Store through various unique collaborations.”
