Seodaemun-gu Volunteers "Wishing for the Swift Flood Recovery of Buyeo-gun"
Over 80 residents volunteers and district office staff join forces in flood recovery efforts on site
Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seongheon) visited Buyeo-gun, Chungnam, a designated special disaster area, on the 25th to carry out flood recovery volunteer activities.
On this day, including Mayor Lee Seongheon, over 80 residents volunteers and district office staff worked together to remove soil debris that had collapsed from the mountains and to wash away flooded household items and roof tiles, contributing to the recovery efforts.
They also delivered relief supplies to Park Jeonghyeon, the Buyeo-gun County Governor, expressing their wishes for the swift flood recovery of Buyeo-gun.
Mayor Lee Seongheon said, “It is unfortunate that Buyeo-gun, Chungnam, suffered great damage due to record-breaking heavy rains. I am grateful to the volunteers who joined in the flood recovery, and I hope our efforts can be a small help in restoring the daily lives of Buyeo residents.”
Earlier, on the 21st of this month, about 50 residents volunteers and district office staff also participated in flood recovery volunteer activities in Goesan-gun, Chungbuk.
