Hanwha Corporation Construction Division Delivers 'Ice Cream' to Hardworking Construction Workers

Hanwha Corporation's Construction Division announced on the 25th that it will run a program offering cool ice cream, cold juice, cookies, and more to construction site workers nationwide until the end of July. Approximately 21,000 servings of snacks will be delivered to a total of 72 sites, and for sites where operating a food truck is difficult, "Gift Boxes" containing cold drinks and snacks will be provided.

On the 24th, the "Ice Cream Snack Truck" visited the Kakao Data Center site located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. About 300 workers, including the site manager and subcontractor employees, participated in the event, enjoying cool ice cream and snacks in rest areas within the site to beat the heat.

As the heatwave continues, Hanwha Corporation's Construction Division is strengthening summer safety and health management by installing ice makers at each site to provide ice and setting up worker rest areas equipped with cooling fans. The operation of the summer snack truck was also conducted with the purpose of cooling down and encouraging workers, thereby enhancing safety and health.

Hwang Gwangseop, site manager of the Ansan Kakao Data Center site, said, "All site workers, including subcontractors, were able to momentarily forget the heat by sharing cool ice cream and juice with their colleagues." Meanwhile, Hanwha Corporation's Construction Division also conducts various emotional safety activities tailored to vulnerable safety periods, such as operating visiting winter snack trucks at each site during the winter season.
