Boryung Consumer Healthcare, a subsidiary of Boryung (formerly Boryung Pharmaceutical), announced on the 25th the launch of ‘Yonggaksan Cool 50 Sachets Peach Flavor and Mint Flavor,’ which significantly increases the quantity compared to existing products.

Yonggaksan Cool 50 Sachets Peach Flavor and Mint Flavor are packaged in units of 50 sachets per container, unlike the previous packages consisting of 10 or 18 sachets per container, catering to the demand of patients who require frequent doses. The stick packs are subdivided into five bundles of 10 sachets each to enhance portability, and the cover-type case makes storage convenient. This 50-sachet package release was planned to improve the convenience of patients who need multiple doses of Yonggaksan Cool for managing respiratory symptoms.


Yonggaksan Cool is a single-use stick pack product that increases the content of key herbal ingredients found in Boryung’s ‘Yonggaksan,’ such as Platycodon root powder, Senega, Apricot seed, and Licorice, and adds other herbal ingredients like Ginseng and Asenyak, as well as the pharmaceutical ingredient Noscapine. These six herbal ingredients are said to actively promote mucus secretion and ciliary movement inside the bronchi, helping to expel harmful substances without irritation. It is effective in relieving various throat-related symptoms including cough, phlegm, sore throat, swelling, discomfort, and hoarseness. Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over should take one sachet per dose, 3 to 6 times a day (with at least 2 hours between doses), without water.


The company explained that Yonggaksan Cool is especially recognized among consumers as a ‘self-medication drug’ for respiratory care, due to its immediate effect upon ingestion and its composition of herbal ingredients, which allow for continuous use even with mild bronchial discomfort.
