Doosan Robotics Accelerates Development of Collaborative Robot Solutions for Group Meal Services

Doosan Robotics signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 'Food Tech Industry Technology Cooperation' with Ourhome on the 24th at Ourhome Magok Food Research Center located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Doosan Robotics, which possesses various collaborative robot solutions for manufacturing and F&B (food and beverage), is set to develop collaborative robot solutions for group catering.

On the 24th, Doosan Robotics announced on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for 'Food Tech Industry Technology Cooperation' with Ourhome at the Ourhome Magok Food Research Center located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, and Lee Dong-hoon, Vice President of Ourhome, among others.

According to the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop collaborative robot cooking solutions used in group catering and apply them on-site. They will also cooperate in developing automated systems for cooking, serving, and washing in catering facilities based on collaborative robots, and will consider expanding the application of collaborative robot solutions to Ourhome franchises, including automation of food material distribution processes in the future.

Ourhome operates group catering facilities at 850 locations nationwide and is a global comprehensive food company engaged in food material distribution as well as food service franchise businesses such as Saboten, Cafe Gran, and the Incheon International Airport food court, so the scalability of collaborative robot solutions is expected to be significant.

The two companies plan to develop collaborative robot cooking solutions within the year and apply them to the cafeteria located in Ourhome's Gangnam office building, as well as introduce a collaborative robot coffee solution linked with delivery robots at Cafe Gran inside the Magok office building.
