Dobong-gu '7th Dobong Reflected in the Media Drawing Contest' Accepting Entries Until August 11
For Elementary School Students Residing in or Attending School in Dobong-gu, One Entry per Person on 4-Cut Paper
Choose One of Three Themes: Time Travel in Dobong, Our Dobong Featured in Newspapers and Broadcasts, or Our Neighborhood We Want to Proudly Show
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is holding the '7th Dobong Reflected in the Media' drawing contest to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its establishment and to record Dobong through the eyes of children.
Not only elementary school students attending schools located in Dobong-gu but also students residing in Dobong-gu who attend elementary schools in other municipalities can participate. Entries will be accepted by grade level (1st to 6th grade).
Participants should freely express one of the three themes in their drawings: ▲Time Travel in Dobong (depicting historical scenes of Dobong or visions of future Dobong) ▲Our Dobong featured in newspapers, broadcasts, etc. ▲Our neighborhood we want to proudly show. The artwork must be on 4-cut drawing paper, and only one entry per person is allowed.
The submission period is until August 11. Entries can be submitted in person to the Public Relations Office at Dobong-gu Office or sent by registered mail (14th floor, Dobong-gu Office, 656 Madeul-ro, Dobong-gu, Seoul). Please note that submissions are not accepted on weekends and public holidays, and mailed entries must arrive by 6 p.m. on the deadline day to be considered.

The district will select a total of 120 works through judging by grade level: ▲1 Grand Prize ▲2 Gold Prizes ▲3 Silver Prizes ▲3 Bronze Prizes ▲11 Honorable Mentions. The winning works will be announced on the Dobong-gu website in September, followed by an exhibition at the gallery on the first floor of the district office.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dobong-gu’s establishment, we hope to see many works that capture Dobong through children’s eyes and reflect the future Dobong that children envision.”
