Miryang-si Exchanges Excellent Programs ... Growing as a City Centered on Performing Arts

Miryang Culture and Tourism Foundation Signs Business Agreement for Mutual Growth with Gomanaru International Theater Festival

The Gyeongnam Miryang Culture and Tourism Foundation and the Gongju Gomanaru International Theater Festival Executive Committee signed a business agreement for performing arts exchange on the 22nd at the conference room on the first floor of the Miryang Arirang Art Center.


The agreement includes exchanging and cooperating on excellent festival programs between the two organizations, as well as jointly striving for public interest projects and regional cultural development.

The foundation will exchange and cooperate on excellent programs not only with the Gomanaru International Theater Festival but also with five other organizations including the Busan International Theater Festival, Busan International Performing Arts Festival, Seoul Future Theater Festival, and Korea New Directors Exhibition through business agreements.


Lee Chi-woo, CEO of the Miryang Culture and Tourism Foundation, said, “Mutual cooperation with theater festivals representing the nation, including Seoul, Busan, and Gongju, means that the status of the Miryang Culture and Tourism Foundation can be elevated accordingly,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that this business agreement leads to meaningful exchanges rather than just remaining on paper.”


Meanwhile, the 20th Gongju Gomanaru International Theater Festival will be held from August 5 to 13 at the Art Center Goma in Gongju, Chungnam.
