The POSCO E&C and Hyundai Engineering consortium (Centennial Project Group) announced on the 23rd that they were finally selected as the construction company at the general meeting of the Busan Bumin 2 District redevelopment association held on the 22nd.
The Bumin 2 District redevelopment project involves constructing nine apartment buildings, ranging from four basement floors to 23 above-ground floors, with a total of 1,004 households and auxiliary welfare facilities at 54, Bumin-dong 3-ga, Seo-gu, Busan. The total construction cost is 356.2 billion KRW.
The Centennial Project Group presented specialized designs in areas such as individual units, community spaces, and landscaping. In particular, they plan to maximize views of Namhang Bridge, Bukhang Bridge, and Cheonmasan Mountain.
The individual units will consist of 4 to 6 bays and medium to large-sized floor plans. They will also introduce terrace houses that maximize the use of sloped terrain and large penthouses. By installing coffered ceilings and living room windows with scenic views, they aim to enhance openness, and convenience will be improved by adopting a smart Internet of Things (IoT) system. High-end finishing materials will also be provided.
The community facilities will include a panorama sky lounge, ocean-view sky library, and rooftop garden in the sky zone with views of Busan Port and Cheonmasan Mountain. Plans include a reading room and caf? utilizing terraces located within the complex, as well as fitness centers, GX rooms, indoor golf practice ranges, and screen golf facilities. Landscaping facilities will include walking trails connected to Bumin Mountain located behind the complex.
A representative of the Centennial Project Group said, "Based on the brand power, construction technology, and excellent credit ratings of POSCO E&C and Hyundai Engineering, we will proceed with the project stably," adding, "Through the Bumin 2 District redevelopment, we will provide the best luxury apartments in Seo-gu, Busan, that residents can take pride in just by living there."
