[Weather] Rain Across Most Regions Nationwide... Concentrated in Central and Honam Areas

Thunder and Lightning Expected

On Sunday the 23rd, rain will fall in most parts of the country. Especially in the central region and Jeolla area, very heavy and intense rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected.

In northern Gyeonggi, 70mm per hour is expected from dawn to morning, in Seoul and southern Gyeonggi, 30 to 60mm per hour from morning to afternoon, and on the western coast of Jeonnam, 30 to 60mm per hour is expected from the afternoon. Very heavy rain around 30mm per hour may also occur in inland Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, southern coastal areas of Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk.

The morning low temperature is forecast to be between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels are expected to be good across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the effect of precipitation.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the outer sea (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the East and South Seas, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea.
