According to the police on the 22nd, as of 5 p.m. that day, 1,647 emergency calls were received regarding suspicious packages delivered from places such as Taiwan.

However, no toxic substances or harmful materials have been detected in the packages, and except for the case in Ulsan, no damage has occurred, so the possibility of terrorism is considered low.

Earlier, on the 20th, three people including the director and staff working at a welfare facility for the disabled in Ulsan opened an international mail package from Taiwan wrapped in a yellow plastic bag and subsequently complained of dizziness and other symptoms, leading to their transfer to a hospital.

The police requested a detailed examination from the Defense Science Research Institute, considering the possibility of infection by toxic gas, but no harmful substances were detected.

The police plan to identify the cause of the damage and investigate the origin of the mail through international cooperation.
