"Investigation Continues Until the End"

A senior Taiwanese official revealed that the suspicious package found in South Korea was initially sent from China.

According to Taiwan Zhongsi News Network on the 22nd, Cheng Yuan-chan, Vice Premier of Taiwan, said in the morning, "The preliminary investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau found that the package was sent from Shenzhen, China to Taiwan via cargo mail, then passed through Chunghwa Post in Taiwan before being forwarded to South Korea." He added that a dedicated team has been formed for further investigation.

Vice Premier Cheng stated, "We will conduct a thorough follow-up investigation to review all circumstances and determine which areas need to be strengthened," adding, "This incident must be handled with a high level of vigilance."

The Taiwan Representative Office in Korea explained, "The investigation revealed that the package was initially sent from China, transited through Taiwan, and finally reached South Korea."

According to the police, nearly 1,000 reports of suspicious packages delivered from Taiwan and other locations were received nationwide on the 21st alone through the emergency number 112.
