Mileage Accumulation Based on Card Usage
or Corporate Credit Accumulation
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 21st that it has launched and is selling the ‘AIR Mile (Korean Air) Card’.
The AIR Mile (Korean Air) Card is a credit card that allows users to accumulate Korean Air mileage or corporate credits based on card usage without any conditions on the previous month's spending or limits on accumulation.
For ‘individual members,’ 1 mileage is accumulated for every 1,500 KRW spent at domestic merchants, and 2 mileage points for every 1,500 KRW spent at overseas merchants.
For ‘individual business owner members’ and ‘small business members,’ 1 mileage is accumulated for every 1,500 KRW spent at both domestic and overseas merchants.
For ‘corporate designated card members,’ excluding small businesses, 1 mileage is given for every 3,000 KRW spent at domestic and overseas merchants.
Additionally, ‘corporate shared card members’ accumulate 1 corporate credit for every 3,000 KRW spent at domestic and overseas merchants.
The accumulated corporate credits can be used by corporate employees to purchase Korean Air bonus tickets or seat upgrades.
Individual members can apply for the card via the mobile banking app or at branches, while corporate members can only apply through branches.

Kim Seongsu, head of the Card Business Department, said, “The AIR Mile (Korean Air) Card is a new product launched with a corporate credit accumulation service that was not previously available to corporate shared card members, providing benefits related to airline ticket purchases for corporate employees. We also expect it to meet the needs of domestic and international travelers through Korean Air mileage accumulation.”
