[Tomorrow's Weather] Heatwave Warnings Issued Nationwide... Daytime Feels-Like Temperature Above 33°C

On the 21st, the nationwide heatwave continues.


Heatwave warnings have been issued across the country except for the East Coast and the inland areas of eastern Jeonbuk. Heatwave alerts are in effect for southeastern and southwestern Seoul, most areas of Gyeonggi Province, Yeongseo region of Gangwon Province, and Daegu.


In areas under heatwave warnings, the perceived temperature at midday is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius or higher, indicating very hot conditions.


The morning low temperature on the 21st will range from 21 to 24 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature will be between 26 and 34 degrees Celsius.


Expected low and high temperatures in major cities are: Seoul 24°C and 33°C, Incheon 24°C and 31°C, Daejeon 23°C and 33°C, Gwangju 24°C and 32°C, Daegu 23°C and 33°C, Ulsan 22°C and 29°C, and Busan 23°C and 29°C.

With strong sunlight, caution is needed for ultraviolet rays and ozone levels. From noon to 3 p.m., the UV index will be 'dangerous' along the southern coast and 'very high' in most other areas.


Ozone levels will be 'very bad' in Incheon and Gyeonggi, and 'bad' in most other regions.


From morning until night on the 21st, there will be showers accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning in Seoul and inland Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, inland Chungcheong, inland Jeonbuk, inland Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam.


Precipitation amounts are expected to be 5 to 40 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang regions, and 5 to 20 mm in northwestern inland Gyeongnam.
