Youth Participation in Various Fields, Revitalization of Youth Policies
On the 20th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk held an expanded launch ceremony for the 'Gumi City Youth Policy Participation Group' at the Media Lounge on the first floor of the Video Media Center, attended by 80 members of the youth policy participation group.
The youth policy participation group is a communication body that discovers and proposes policies through the active participation of young people residing in the region. This time, the group expanded to 132 young people from various fields such as university students, office workers, and self-employed individuals, along with 27 members of the '2nd Youth Policy Participation Group' formed last year to create 'The Power of Youth, The Dreams of Youth - New Hope, Youth Era!'
The launch ceremony proceeded in the order of explaining the operation plan of the participation group, appointing Park Seong-min, Chairman of the Local Youth Special Committee of the Local Era Committee, as an advisory member, and holding a dialogue session for Gumi youth with participation from members of the City Council research group, Cheon In-sim.
Going forward, the participation group will discuss matters related to ▲ policy proposals in the youth sector ▲ networking activities within the participation group ▲ monitoring major city administration events ▲ and the operation of Gumi City Youth Day, without a separate term of office.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho said, “I look forward to the future of Gumi’s youth, which will be newly transformed by your diverse opinions,” and added, “We will actively support the realization of the dreams of youth who will lead new hope.”
