Daewoo E&C Responds to Oh Se-hoon's Request... Establishes Full Construction Process Filming System

Daewoo E&C announced on the 20th that it will gradually establish a system that records the entire construction process using smart construction technology. This is in line with Seoul City's declaration of war against poor-quality construction and its active participation in expanding the 'video record management' system currently implemented at public construction sites with budgets exceeding 10 billion KRW.

Daewoo E&C has been utilizing its self-developed smart construction management systems, DSC (Daewoo Smart Construction) and OSM (On-Site Monitoring), which were introduced on-site in 2016. In addition, it has built a 'Digital Comprehensive Construction Site Dashboard' that integrates digital services using advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Geographic Information System (GIS), Machine Control (MC), and Machine Guidance (MG), enabling real-time monitoring of construction progress. These smart construction technologies are expected to play a significant role in ensuring safety and preventing quality accidents at construction sites.

In 2019, Daewoo E&C became the first domestic construction company to establish a remote drone control system. The Daewoo Drone Control System, 'DW-CDS (Daewoo Construction Drone Surveillance),' supports automatic flight of drones at each site from a central remote control center, manages drone flights and flight information through remote control, and immediately transmits and stores recorded footage so that authorized employees can check it in real time.

Daewoo E&C plans to first apply its smart construction technology in conjunction with the video record management filming promoted by Seoul City to private construction sites within Seoul.
