'Hotel Expert' with Experience Since Joining in 1993
Accelerating Global Expansion with Extensive Overseas Experience
Hotel Lotte announced on the 20th that it has appointed Kim Tae-hong, Head of Lotte Hotel Resort & CL Division, as the new CEO.
New CEO Kim Tae-hong is a hotel expert who joined Lotte Hotel in 1993 and has accumulated 30 years of experience in key roles such as finance, planning, and sales within the hotel. He has served as CEO of Lotte Hotel Russia, Head of Domestic Sales Division at Lotte Hotel, and General Manager of Lotte Skyhill CC.
He is regarded as an "all-round player" who has mastered various hospitality fields beyond just hotels, including the operation of hotels across Korea, overseas hotels and resorts, and golf courses. He is considered the right person to create integrated synergy for Lotte Hotel, which relaunched earlier this year by unifying the previously separated hotel and resort business divisions.
CEO Kim Tae-hong has eight years of overseas work experience, including four years as CEO of Lotte Hotel Russia, where he played a pivotal role in expanding Lotte Hotel's overseas business. Based on his extensive domestic and international hotel management experience, he is expected to accelerate Lotte Hotel's solid entry into the global market.
A Lotte Hotel official said, "With the appointment of CEO Kim Tae-hong, we will systematically promote new businesses such as senior residences and soft brands, while enhancing overseas business competitiveness based on an asset-light strategy. Going forward, Lotte Hotel plans to grow into a lifestyle platform that satisfies customers' experiential value beyond hospitality."
