At around 10:04 a.m. on the 20th, a fire broke out at an elementary school in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, causing about 350 students and staff to evacuate.
According to the Changwon Fire Headquarters, the fire that started in the main building's restroom was extinguished by the dispatched firefighters at around 10:25 a.m.
All students and staff evacuated to the playground, and there were no casualties, but property damage estimated at 2 million won occurred according to the fire department.
Eight pieces of equipment, including fire trucks and ambulances, and 25 personnel were deployed to the scene.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
