Recruitment for Participants in the 'Gurye Olrae' Rural Living Experience

3-Month Rural Living Experience Program for Urban Residents

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is recruiting participants for the '2023 Gurye Olrae 2nd Term' until August 13.

'Gurye Olrae?' is a rural experience program operated in Jirisan Hyo Jangsu Village located in Masan-myeon, Gurye-gun, designed to support the successful settlement of urban residents in rural areas.

Participants will live in Gurye for up to three months, experiencing rural life by gardening, exploring the village, and interacting with residents through conversations with senior returnees to farming and rural living.

The 2nd term program is scheduled to run for three months starting from September 1, and eligibility is limited to urban residents from other regions (aged 18 or older, residents of dong areas). Applications can be submitted through the integrated return-to-farming and rural living platform, Green Daero.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "We are implementing step-by-step support policies for return-to-farming and rural living, including rural experience programs, operation of a stay-type agricultural startup support center, and temporary housing support projects to help urban residents settle stably," adding, "We will do our best to support people to start their second life here in Gurye."
