Mokpo City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that MF&Co (CEO Kim Hwajeong) donated 10 million KRW to support youth entrepreneurship and job creation projects for a greater Mokpo that attracts young people.

MF&Co Co., Ltd., established in 2021, is a small and medium-sized enterprise engaged in bread manufacturing and coffee shop businesses. Recently, the company expanded its business and opened SUKSAN, the largest cafe in the Honam region, at the entrance of Mokpo Bridge.

On this day, a donation ceremony for the 10 million KRW contribution was held at the SUKSAN coffee shop, along with a certification ceremony for the company as a youth job creation enterprise.

CEO Kim Hwajeong stated, “We planned and executed for over three years to open the SUKSAN cafe and have employed about 20 young people as regular workers,” adding, “I wanted to support local youth who dream of entrepreneurship and jobs for a greater Mokpo that attracts young people, which is why I decided to make this donation.”

Following this, a certification plaque recognizing the company as a ‘Youth Job Creation Enterprise’ was posted at the entrance to symbolize the meaningful employment of about 20 young regular workers.

Mayor Park Hongryul expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank CEO Kim Hwajeong of MF&Co for joining forces to create a greater Mokpo that attracts young people,” and added, “The donated funds will be used valuably for youth entrepreneurship and job creation.”

Mokpo City plans to actively discover companies that create youth jobs and award certification plaques for youth job creation to raise awareness about youth employment.

Additionally, the city will promote youth-tailored support projects such as the Mokpo Youth Entrepreneur Financial Support Project, Mokpo-style Startup Youth Job Support Project, Youth Challenge Support Project, and Youth Retention Incentive Support.
