Creation of Gongdo No.1 Waterfront Park... Resident Briefing Session on the 24th
Combined with Urban Ecological Axis Restoration... Target Completion in 2025
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province is promoting the creation of a large-scale urban ecological park along the Hancheon River.
Anseong City announced on the 20th that it will hold a residents' briefing session for the 'Gongdo No. 1 Waterfront Park Creation Project' in the area of San 29, Majung-ri, Gongdo-eup, along the Hancheon River, at the Gongdo-eup Office on the 24th.
This project aims to create an urban ecological park combined with the Ministry of Environment's public project, the 'Urban Ecological Axis Restoration Project.' A total project cost of 16.2 billion KRW will be invested, with a goal to complete it by 2025.
The park will include a biodiversity wetland, carbon reduction forest, ecological corridors, ecological experience learning centers, ecological observation paths, ecological playgrounds, and citizen participation forests.
An official from the city stated, “This project is Anseong City's first ecological park creation project,” adding, “We will gather opinions from residents and experts to create an ecological park that represents Anseong.”
