He also introduced spaces where one can experience Amorepacific's diverse products and modern, sophisticated Korean beauty, such as Bukchon’s 'Osulloc Tea House' and 'Sulwhasoo House.'
The Korea Summer Beauty Sale is a themed tourism festival offering special promotions on K-beauty, the most preferred shopping item for foreign tourists visiting Korea, along with various K-beauty experience programs. It is a public-private cooperation event involving the K-Tourism Cooperation Group and K-beauty companies, held from today until the 20th of next month. The opening event was attended by about 20 people, including Jang Mi-ran, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Jo Yoon-soo, CEO of Genie the Bottle, actress Han Go-eun, beauty creator Lee Sa-bae, and other K-beauty company representatives and stakeholders, discussing ways to revitalize K-tourism fused with K-beauty.
CEO Jo said, "Through this event, products will be promoted through various channels and connected to consumption by foreign tourists, which will be a great help." During this festival, various tourism companies including K-beauty companies, airlines, shopping, accommodation, and experience sectors will conduct 20 special promotions, discounts, and prize giveaways both online and offline. Until the 26th, a 'Welcome Week for Foreign Tourists' will be held, operating 'welcome booths' in popular tourist areas such as Myeongdong, Hongdae, Itaewon, and Gangnam in Seoul.
Vice Minister Jang said, "The core of this event is not simply to make people buy products, but to provide foreigners with a 'special experience that can only be had in Korea,'" adding, "I hope our country will establish itself as the 'holy land of beauty' sought after by people worldwide through K-beauty."
