SK C&C's Blockchain 'ChainZ Token' Service Earns GS Certification Grade 1

On the 20th, SK C&C announced that its 'ChainZ Token Service' for blockchain has received the highest level 1 grade GS certification from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) of Korea.

'ChainZ Token' is a service that allows easy creation, issuance, and trading of tokens that can circulate on the Ethereum network simply by calling an API (Application Programming Interface). It complies with the Ethereum standard ERC-20 and enables the creation of all token-related services with just a few clicks.

Since 2019, SK C&C has independently developed and operated ChainZ, a blockchain platform dedicated to enterprises, providing services such as token services, NFTs, and data tracing in the form of APIs.

With the acquisition of the GS (Good Software) certification level 1, 'ChainZ Token' has secured software stability and quality, as well as qualified as a technology product eligible for priority purchase by public institutions. The GS certification is a national certification system that proves the quality of domestic software based on Article 20 of the Software Promotion Act.

The level 1 grade obtained by 'ChainZ Token' is the highest grade awarded in GS certification, which requires passing nine test procedures based on ISO international standards, including software functionality, reliability, efficiency, usability, security, and compatibility.

Software that obtains GS certification is designated as a technology product eligible for priority purchase by public institutions, and it is also possible to enter into direct contracts with purchasing agencies through the Public Procurement Service’s third-party unit price contracts and registration on the Korea ON-line E-Procurement System (KONEPS).

Another feature of ChainZ Token is the proxy key (account recovery) service that enhances service usage safety by eliminating the risk of key (account) loss, which can often occur in blockchain services. The proxy key service helps safely recover the history and ownership even if the private key of the electronic wallet account is lost. SK C&C has developed the proxy key service and holds a patent for it.
