Dr. Lee Si-hyung's Special Lecture on 'Building Social Relationships in a Super-Aged Society'

Gangnam-gu (Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold special monthly lectures inviting experts from July to October at the Gangnam Healing Center (Gaepo) to help change lifestyle habits.

Earlier this year, the Gangnam Healing Center shifted from commissioned operation to direct management and introduced healing-specialized programs. Programs that encourage changing habits in four areas?exercise, mind, relationships, and food?to find healing in daily life have become very popular among participants. Therefore, special lectures were arranged to have deeper discussions with experts in these fields.

The first lecture, focusing on ‘relationship habits,’ will be held on the 25th of this month at 4:30 PM, featuring psychiatrist Dr. Lee Si-hyung. Having devoted his life to researching mental health and happiness, Dr. Lee plans to provide insights on improving the four major habits and social relationships and countermeasures in a super-aged society during his lecture titled ‘A New Humanity is Coming.’

On August 17 at 2 PM, there will be a lecture titled ‘Moon Sook’s Natural Food Story.’ Moon Sook, an actress and author of numerous books on natural food and natural healing, will share wisdom on improving eating habits and happiness.

On September 9 at 4 PM, family medicine specialist Min Hye-yeon will give a lecture on exercise habits. Under the theme ‘Diet Should Vary by Age,’ she will explain the importance of exercise for a healthy life and how to practice exercise according to different age groups.

On October 12, organizing expert Lee Ji-young will hold a lecture. Based on her experience of giving hope to many people through space organization, she will explain how to declutter not only physical spaces but also time and mind by letting go of unnecessary things.

Applications for participation can be made from one week before each lecture through the Gangnam-gu integrated reservation website and the Gangnam Healing Center mobile app. After adding the Gangnam Healing Center on the KakaoTalk channel, participants can show their smartphones for entry.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “I hope this special lecture series will help residents refine their daily habits and live happily in their everyday lives. We will continue to operate various healing-specialized programs to make Gangnam a happy place for its residents.”
