The three major indices of the U.S. New York Stock Exchange closed higher on the 19th (local time), all finishing near the flat line as they monitored corporate earnings reports for the second quarter.
On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.31% from the previous session to close the trading day, marking its eighth consecutive day of gains. The large-cap-focused S&P 500 index increased by 0.24%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq index closed up 0.03%.
