‘Drug-Related Sexual Crime’ Eradication Promotional Content Contest Award Ceremony Held
On the 19th, the National Police Agency held an awards ceremony for the promotional content contest aimed at eradicating 'drug-related sex crimes,' co-hosted with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
This contest was planned in response to recent incidents where drugs were secretly added to alcohol or beverages, leading to sex crimes such as rape and illegal filming, which heightened public anxiety and aimed to prevent similar cases and raise awareness.
The National Police Agency explained that a total of 1,041 people nationwide submitted 1,080 entries, demonstrating a high level of social interest in drug and sexual violence crimes.
After two rounds of rigorous judging, 10 works were selected as the final winners, including Joo Ye-eun's poster titled "The Truth of Sex Crimes Will Be Revealed" and Ko Yoon-ja's slogan "Drugged Drinks You Were Tricked Into Drinking: You Are Innocent, Report Without Worry."
A National Police Agency official stated, "We plan to focus the police's capabilities not only on strong crackdowns and investigations on drugs but also on preventing secondary crimes such as sex crimes abusing drugs, protecting and supporting victims, and closely collaborating with related ministries."
