The Chevrolet Tahoe also offers a third-row legroom of 886 mm, allowing even large adults to sit comfortably in all seats. The basic cargo capacity is 722 liters, which expands up to 3480 liters when all seats are folded down. It is popular among camping enthusiasts who frequently do car camping because it provides ample space for carrying a lot of luggage. When the seats are folded, there is enough space for two adult men over 180 cm tall to lie down comfortably.
The Chevrolet Tahoe is also noted as a ceremonial SUV. It is widely used for ceremonial and security purposes in the U.S. mainland, not only for its size but also for its enhanced ride comfort. Although the Tahoe uses a frame body, it improves ride comfort by applying advanced suspension. The Tahoe comes standard with an adaptive air ride suspension that features automatic leveling and adjustable ground clearance. It also smoothly absorbs road shocks.
Additionally, during high-speed driving, the ground clearance is automatically lowered by 20 mm to improve aerodynamic performance and fuel efficiency. For off-road driving, the ground clearance can be raised from 25 mm up to a maximum of 50 mm depending on the mode, providing stable performance on rough terrain.
The Tahoe can also be expanded for various leisure activities such as camping caravans or yachts. Specialized for trailering, the Tahoe has a maximum towing capacity of 3402 kg. For professional trailering, it is equipped with a trailer hitch receiver and connectors, allowing for more convenient and safer towing compared to competing models.
