Changnyeong-gun Conducts On-site Inspections of Major Project Sites

Diagnosis of the 8th Elected Administration's Operational Status and Disaster Preparedness Assessment

Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, marked 100 days since the inauguration of County Governor Seong Nak-in. Starting from the 17th, Governor Seong has been conducting on-site visits to major county project sites to inspect the preparedness for various summer disasters and to review the overall county administration status.

This inspection began with Sangwol Water Purification Plant in Goam-myeon, the Central Region (Goam) Park Golf Course, Changnyeong Museum, and the County Swimming Pool, and plans to cover 31 major project sites including Daehap Interchange, regional park golf course development sites, Changnyeong Memorial Park, Yeongsan National Sports Center, and Yeongsan Happy Housing over four days until the 25th.

The inspection will focus on understanding the progress, issues, and future plans of each project to ensure smooth advancement. It will also include communication sessions to share improvement ideas by meeting with related personnel and residents.

In preparation for natural disasters such as heavy summer rains, monsoons, and typhoons, safety inspections of key facilities will be conducted, and opinions from the field will be gathered to establish an immediate and effective response system in case of disaster situations.

Governor Seong stated, “Being distant from the field means being distant from public sentiment, so I consider listening to the voices on the ground as the most important.” He added, “We will continue on-site inspections and gather residents’ opinions to ensure the safety of our citizens and to smoothly advance major projects for the development of our county.”
