Regarding the claim from some opposition members that a luxury bag is hidden inside First Lady Kim Geon-hee's eco bag, Park Dae-chul, the Policy Committee Chair of the People Power Party, raised his voice, saying, "'If not, so be it' style manipulation is so outrageous that it makes one lose words."

On the 18th, Park posted on his Facebook, "They confidently asserted as fact that the 'hidden bag' inside the First Lady's eco bag was a 'Chanel luxury bag,' but today they are quietly backtracking, saying 'it seems not to be so.'"

Earlier, on the 17th, Park Young-hoon, Vice Chair of the Democratic Party's Youth Future Coalition, raised suspicions via social media that a luxury bag was inside Kim's eco bag but later corrected himself, saying, "It appears to be something else. We will verify further."

In response, Park said, "They are just recklessly throwing out claims without basis," and criticized, "Later, they try to quietly pass it off with a one-line explanation that is not really an explanation."

He added, "This is the kind of 'fake news' that misleads the public," and warned, "Those who prosper through fake news should know they will perish by fake news."
