On June 7, Onmaeul Sarangchae, the Community Integrated Care Meal Service Support Center at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, conducted a volunteer program for packing and delivering lunchboxes for community integrated care recipients.
On this day, seven district council members, including Park Hyun-cheol, chairman of the Busanjin-gu Council, participated in the volunteer activity.
Together with volunteers, they packed lunchboxes and divided into four teams to visit the homes of about 160 recipients in areas such as Gaya, Gaegum, Dangam, Beomcheon, Buam, Bujeon, Yeonji, and Choeup, delivering lunchboxes and checking on the well-being of neighbors in need.
Chairman Park Hyun-cheol said, “For the elderly, I believe it is very important to provide necessary services directly rather than financial support,” adding, “I thank everyone who strives to provide customized services according to individual health conditions, and the council will do its best to ensure there is no shortage in such efforts.”
Kim Young-do, president of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, “I am pleased that the work was smoothly completed thanks to the Busanjin-gu council members who actively volunteered in coordination with the workforce of Onmaeul Sarangchae,” and added, “We will do our best to continue working closely with Busanjin-gu so that Onmaeul Sarangchae can operate continuously.”
Onmaeul Sarangchae is an institution that provides meal and nutrition management services to Busanjin-gu integrated care recipients who need dietary support, operated as a school enterprise by the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology.
