Millie's Library Releases Summary Audiobooks by 9 Audiobook Readers
Audiobook Readers Personally Recorded and Produced
The reading platform Millie’s Library announced on the 17th that it will release summary audiobooks narrated by nine audiobook readers selected in collaboration with ‘Spoon Radio.’ These nine readers, chosen from the ten selected through the April campaign ‘Looking for Voices of Comfort,’ personally recorded and produced the summary audiobooks.
The audiobooks consist of bestsellers, essays, and self-development books. Each includes an audio story of about five minutes before the narration, featuring the audiobook reader’s thoughts or related experiences about the book in an intro format.
They are holding an event called ‘Find Your Favorite Voice,’ where readers can leave comments with their favorite voice or the title of a book they want to hear in their favorite voice after listening to the audiobooks. The event runs until the 31st, and winners will be selected by lottery to receive Baskin-Robbins ice cream (pint) coupons.
Lee Seong-ho, Head of Content Business at Millie’s Library, said, “Listening to a book in someone else’s voice evokes different emotions and imagination than reading it with your own eyes. We hope listeners will experience a new emotional resonance through audiobooks that capture the unique voice, articulation, delivery, and emotional changes of each audiobook reader.”
Millie’s Library plans to hold a special exhibition featuring the audiobook reader most frequently mentioned as readers’ favorite voice.
