'Our Blues' director Kim Kyu-tae meets actors Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo.
On the 17th, the online streaming service (OTT) Netflix announced that it will produce director Kim's new series 'Trunk'.
'Trunk' is a Netflix series depicting a strange marriage story of two men and women within a secret marriage service revealed by a trunk floating on a lakeside. It is based on the novel of the same name by writer Kim Ryeo-ryeong, who wrote 'Wandeugi' and 'Elegant Lies'.
Actors Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo have been cast as leads. Seo Hyun-jin plays In-ji, an employee of NM, a company that matches temporary marriages, and Gong Yoo plays Jung-won, a music producer consumed by anxiety and loneliness due to past pain. Through a temporary spouse service applied for by his ex-wife Seo-yeon, whom he still misses, Jung-won meets his second wife In-ji for the first time.
Director Kim Kyu-tae, who directed dramas such as 'It's Okay, That's Love' (2014), 'Live' (2018), and 'Our Blues' (2022), takes the helm, and writer Park Eun-young of 'Hwarang' (2016) is in charge of the screenplay.
