Deputy Mayor Kim Nam-il Inspects Landslide Construction Site Behind Daehung Middle School with Related Agencies
Kim Nam-il, Vice Mayor of Pohang City, conducted an on-site inspection of the Buk-gu area on the 14th along with related departments to prevent damage in disaster-prone areas caused by consecutive heavy rains.
On that day, Vice Mayor Kim Nam-il personally inspected the landslide construction site behind Daeheung Middle School, which was damaged by last year's typhoon, and instructed prompt measures and continuous inspections due to concerns about additional damage such as soil erosion caused by recent heavy rains.
Vice Mayor Kim Nam-il emphasized again, “The ground in several areas has weakened significantly due to consecutive localized heavy rains, raising concerns about retaining wall and terrace collapses, landslides, and falling rocks,” and added, “We will thoroughly conduct on-site inspections and guidance in disaster-vulnerable areas to minimize damage.”
