Jeju Western Fire Station recently announced on the 16th that it held a commanders' meeting in a small conference room to strengthen proactive response measures against wind and flood disasters.
The meeting was conducted to ensure thorough preparation and systematic response to prevent damage from summer wind and flood disasters (heavy rain, typhoons, localized downpours, etc.).
The main agenda included ▲establishing a response system for a surge in reports due to heavy rain ▲building an emergency management system to address shortages in firefighting personnel ▲checking communication systems with related agencies and sharing tasks, with a policy to fully respond to prevent damage.
Ko Jeong-bae, Chief of the Western Fire Station, stated, “Typhoon, heavy rain, and localized downpour damages are powerful and widespread, so thorough preparation in advance is necessary,” adding, “We will do our best to protect the lives and property of residents by building effective response strategies utilizing available firefighting resources through cooperation with related agencies.”
