Urging Active Response by Visiting the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters

Lee Sang-geun, Governor of Goseong County, Jeong Jeom-sik, Member of the National Assembly, and Choi Eul-seok, Chairman of the Goseong County Council, visited the Goseong County Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 16th.

At the site, they received a report on the situation related to heavy rain from the Head of the Safety General Division, and checked key vulnerable areas such as underground passages and steep slopes through CCTV in the control center, urging active measures for the safety of the residents.

Lee Sang-geun, Governor of Goseong County, Jeong Jeom-sik, Member of the National Assembly, and Choi Eul-seok, Chairman of the Goseong County Council, visited the Goseong County Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.

The governor said, “As the heavy rain continues, I hope all related organizations cooperate actively and prepare thoroughly,” and urged, “All public officials should work harder to minimize damage.”

Assemblyman Jeong said, “Please do your best to prevent any casualties from sudden heavy rain,” and added, “I appreciate the efforts of the public officials who work day and night so that the residents can live safely.”

Meanwhile, the Goseong County Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters has been operating Emergency Level 1 since 7:30 PM on the 15th, conducting patrol activities in disaster-prone areas by forming a slope emergency inspection and evacuation support team, and escalated emergency duty to Level 2 following the issuance of a heavy rain warning at 9:50 PM.
