Landlord Disappearance Causes Jeonse Fraud: Poor Facility Management of Affected Buildings, Tenant Residence Safety Support
Housing Managers Association Provides Tenant Consultation and Management of Common Areas in Jeonse Fraud-Affected Buildings
Busan City will strengthen facility management support to ensure the residential safety of tenants living in buildings affected by jeonse fraud.
Recently, there have been cases in the Busan area where landlords of buildings affected by jeonse fraud have disappeared, leading to poor facility management and threatening the safety of tenants.
To ensure the definite residential safety of tenants, the city will meticulously enhance the existing support system, establish support details for each facility, and collaborate with related organizations (departments) to provide safety support for the residences of affected tenants.
The city has previously provided facility support for four affected buildings, including Beomil Goldville and Yangjeong BSI.
For facilities in jeonse fraud-affected buildings that require urgent attention, on-site inspections will be conducted immediately to implement corrective measures, and support will be provided to appoint representatives among tenants for facility maintenance and common area management.
The support details by facility are as follows:
▲ (Elevators) Support for selecting safety management companies ▲ (Mechanical parking lots) Support for selecting regular inspection and maintenance companies ▲ (Fire facilities) Support for appointing fire safety managers and conducting self-inspections ▲ (Others) Support for emergency postponement of power and water disconnections, etc.
Additionally, the Busan City Housing Managers Association will provide consultation support on common area management to tenant representatives to help maintain communal living for tenants affected by jeonse fraud in multi-unit buildings.
The association plans to conduct facility management consultations for tenant representatives regarding common area management, joint expense execution, and billing per household in multi-unit buildings to ensure that affected tenants do not experience inconvenience in communal living.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “I sincerely thank the Busan City Housing Managers Association for joining in to support Busan citizens affected by jeonse fraud,” and added, “I hope that the affected tenants will regain a stable daily life as soon as possible.”
