Lotte Hotel Obtains International Environmental Management Standard... "Recognized for ESG Management"

Recognized for 'Net Zero Project' Efforts
"We Will Continue ESG Management"

Lotte Hotel announced on the 16th that it has obtained the ISO 14001 certification, an environmental management standard established by the International Organization for Standardization, from the Korea Foundation for Quality (KFQ).

ISO 14001 is an international standard certification for environmental management systems granted to companies that establish and continuously comply with eco-friendly management systems. Lotte Hotel was highly evaluated for actively introducing renewable energy and practicing ESG management while promoting the 'Net Zero Project' to achieve carbon neutrality from 2021 to 2040.

Lotte Hotel proactively implemented eco-friendly management as the largest hotel chain in Korea through initiatives such as gray card laundry for bedding, label-free water bottles, reusable dispenser amenities, and eco-friendly packaging. In particular, the Carbon and Environmental Management System (LCEMS), which digitally manages quantitative environmental and energy data across all Lotte Hotel business sites, was selected as the best system within the Lotte Group and has been expanded to all group affiliates.

Going forward, Lotte Hotel plans to continue standardized environmental management activities according to manuals and focus more on internalizing ISO 14001 through thorough annual environmental management audits, thereby maintaining a broad framework for sustainable environmental management.
