Idus Prepares E-commerce Training Program for Handmade Artists

Professional Training Program 'Idus Jakkademy'
Establishing Curriculum System and Revamping Welfare Policies

Backpacker (CEO Kim Dong-hwan), the operator of 'Idus,' announced on the 14th that it will launch a specialized education program called 'Idus Jakkademy' to nurture creators and assist writers (sellers) with e-commerce entry and operations.


Launched in 2015, Idus has been providing education since the following year on overall sales operations of writers' works, online marketing, customer management, photography, and more, with 230 online and 170 offline sessions, and over 63,000 participants have completed the courses.

Idus has revamped its existing education programs and welfare policies for enrolled writers with the goal of securing expertise and establishing a systematic framework, and introduced 'Jakkademy' to build a sustainable creative ecosystem. The main features include establishing a Writer Support Team and offering one-on-one professional consulting, as well as online and offline education and video VOD lectures.


▲ Monthly expert training: profit and loss management, brand marketing, global briefings (overseas e-commerce market trends and Idus global operations) ▲ Bimonthly expert training: legal education (essential legal knowledge for online sales, intellectual property rights and application know-how learned through dispute cases), tax education ▲ Seasonal special lectures: special lectures for new writers preparing for seasons such as Family Month and Chuseok ▲ Outstanding writer talk shows: held twice a year, etc.


Additionally, Idus provides various welfare benefits to platform-enrolled writers, including ▲ operation of Craft Lab, a workspace for creating works ▲ discounts at Writer Store for raw materials sales ▲ courier partnerships ▲ psychological counseling ▲ health checkups, and more. Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of Backpacker, said, "The number of writers growing through communication with fans is increasing," and added, "We will continue to operate and develop Idus-exclusive programs so that writers can receive support for their works and continuously communicate with fans who empathize with their philosophy."
