Chorokmaeul Strengthens Same-Day Delivery per Store... Linked with Orders from Its Own Mall

Maximizing Strengths of Neighborhood Stores by Absorbing Online Demand
Enhancing Customer Experience with Same-Day Delivery Ahead of Dawn Delivery

Green organic specialty store Chorokmaeul announced on the 14th that it will strengthen its same-day delivery service linked to orders from its own mall, based on the largest number of offline stores in the industry. The company plans to maximize the strengths of neighborhood-type stores online and establish integrated online-offline "Chosegwon" zones nationwide.

Chorokmaeul Strengthens Same-Day Delivery per Store... Linked with Orders from Its Own Mall

Chorokmaeul recently completed the enhancement of same-day delivery for online orders through offline stores located in key areas nationwide. They have completed real-time synchronization of store inventory based on a cloud database and strengthened last-mile delivery services by incorporating the logistics capabilities of their parent company, Jeongyukkak. Among approximately 380 Chorokmaeul stores nationwide, 317 participate in online same-day delivery.

By promoting customer-centric policies, the same-day delivery coverage area has also been significantly expanded. As of this month, based on postal codes where same-day delivery service is provided in Chosegwon zones, it was found that more than 26.3 million people, about 51% of South Korea’s population of approximately 51.73 million, reside in these areas.

To increase the fulfillment rate of same-day delivery based on store inventory, deliveries are made from up to three nearby stores in order of proximity, and a big data-based order recommendation function for each store has also been introduced. Deliveries are made up to seven times a day between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m., depending on each store’s operating status. The cutoff time for same-day delivery online orders varies by store but is generally available until 6 p.m.

Chorokmaeul plans to rapidly expand the Chosegwon areas to cover 70% of the total population by enhancing the operational capabilities of existing stores, expanding the number of stores participating in same-day delivery, and strengthening new store openings. By improving online convenience through a complete overhaul of the application and website and the introduction of an integrated shopping cart, they aim to increase usage of their own mall and support it with Chosegwon same-day delivery to enhance customer experience.

Kim Jaeyeon, CEO of Chorokmaeul, said, “Earlier this year, we introduced dawn delivery in line with industry standards, and we have now advanced same-day delivery to provide an even better customer experience. We will continue to strengthen our integrated online-offline capabilities so that ‘Chosegwon grocery shopping,’ where customers can order and receive eco-friendly organic and safe food on the same day, becomes a part of everyday life.”
