Busan University of Foreign Studies Department of Aviation Service Trains at Thai Airways Flight Training Center in Thailand

The Department of Aviation Service at Busan University of Foreign Studies conducted on-site training for its students over two days, June 26-27, at Thai Airways headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, and the Thai Airways Flight Training Center located at Don Mueang Airport.

This program was implemented through an agreement between Busan University of Foreign Studies and the Thai Airways Flight Training Center (TFT) to enhance practical skills by allowing students to directly experience the theories learned at university in real work environments.

The training covered cabin service and safety drills. About 100 students from the Department of Aviation Service participated, wearing traditional Thai Airways flight attendant uniforms and receiving in-flight service training.

For safety training, they toured and experienced the A380 simulator room, various door training exercises, fire and first aid drills, emergency slide evacuation, emergency water landing, and operation of emergency equipment.

Student Sim Ye-in, who participated in the on-site training, shared, “Approaching the training with the mindset that this is a real situation and I am a flight attendant made me reaffirm my dream of becoming a flight attendant.”

Professor Choi Mi-seon, head of the Department of Aviation Service and planner of this on-site training, said, “Through this hands-on experience, our students have gained competitiveness as global aviation service professionals,” adding, “Busan University of Foreign Studies and Thai Airways will continue to exchange human and educational resources between the two institutions.”
