Jeonbuk Gimje City (Mayor Jeong Seong-ju) is recruiting volunteers for the 60th Jeonbuk Provincial Sports Festival and the 17th Jeollabuk-do Disabled Sports Festival from the 12th to the 31st of this month.
The number of recruits is about 400, with 300 for the Provincial Sports Festival and 100 for the Disabled Sports Festival. Volunteers will engage in activities such as supporting the opening and closing ceremonies, providing comprehensive guidance to spectators, and assisting with stadium operations.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and anyone who can provide kindness to visitors to Gimje City with a sense of duty as a volunteer is eligible. Applications for the Provincial Sports Festival can be submitted to the Gimje City Volunteer Center, and for the Disabled Sports Festival to the Gimje Disabled Sports Association.
Selected volunteers will undergo practical volunteer training before being assigned to the field. During the festival period, they will receive benefits such as recognition of volunteer service, group vests, and reimbursement of expenses.
Mayor Jeong stated, "Gimje City will select volunteers who can offer both kindness and inspiration to athletes and spectators at this meaningful 60th Provincial Sports Festival, and we will actively support the success of both the Provincial Sports Festival and the Disabled Sports Festival."
