On the 13th, Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk announced that it will operate the 'Children's Outdoor Water Playground' from the 22nd of this month to the 13th of next month, providing children with a cool summer experience.
The water playground is located at the outdoor stage plaza of the Sunchang-eup Hyangto Hall, equipped with four age-specific air pools, one water slide, shade tents, changing rooms, and other convenience facilities.

The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but on Saturdays it will be open until 9 p.m. It is free for everyone, including preschool children, elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as guardians accompanying children.
However, it will be closed every Monday and Thursday for clean water management and safety inspections. Visitors must wear swimming caps to enter, and pets are prohibited for safety and hygiene reasons.
As the playground is a facility used by young children, the county is making every effort to maintain all facilities before opening. During the operation period, safety personnel will be stationed throughout the water playground to prevent accidents in advance.
Additionally, on the opening day, the 22nd, starting at 4:30 p.m., various commemorative programs such as a bubble show, band, and dance performances will mark the beginning of the children's water playground.
Especially on weekends, besides the water facilities, food trucks and weekend events will be available, creating a space where families and neighbors can enjoy chatting and spending time together.
County Governor Choi Young-il said, “Any family raising children can use the facility for free, and food is allowed inside the water playground, making it the best summer vacation spot for residents planning an economical holiday. I hope all children and parents living in Sunchang can have a safe and happy time.”
Meanwhile, this children's water playground is operated by the Sunchang-gun Junior Chamber (Sunchang JC), selected through a public recruitment last month. They successfully operated the water playground as their own project in 2022.
