Withtech is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that the company developed radioactive nuclide analysis equipment for contaminated water and started supplying it to public institutions ahead of the Fukushima contaminated water ocean discharge.
As of 10:27 AM on the 13th, Withtech is trading at 16,410 KRW, up 9.32% compared to the previous day.
On this day, Withtech announced that it developed the rapid radioactive nuclide pretreatment equipment (SALT-100) and entered the nuclide analysis market for contaminated water management. SALT-100 is equipment commercialized by Withtech after receiving core technology transferred from the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. After the technology transfer last year, the first delivery was recently made to the Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
The SALT-100 produced and sold by Withtech is advanced equipment capable of rapidly pretreating large volumes of seawater nuclides. It can quickly and accurately separate trace nuclides from seawater, and according to the company, using this equipment can reduce the processing time by up to 90% compared to conventional methods.
Recognized for its technological capabilities, last month Withtech also signed a supply contract with the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency through a private contract via the Public Procurement Service. Full-scale deliveries are expected to begin in August.
