Matching with professional dog trainers
On the 13th, LG Uplus announced that it will officially open a dog training center for ‘ForDong School’ customers in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with the Korea Lifelong Education Institute for Companion Dogs and Petscom. LG Uplus provides customized services for pet-owning households, such as 'ForDong School,' which matches owners with trainers through its pet service platform ‘ForDong.’ Since April, it has been expanding the ForDong School service in partnership with the Korea Lifelong Education Institute for Companion Dogs.
The ‘ForDong School Yongin Campus’ is located in Giheung-gu, Yongin. It operates within the 5,000-pyeong (approximately 16,528 square meters) dog park ‘Tail45 Dog Park,’ managed by Petscom. The facility can accommodate up to 150 dogs and 300 visitors. In addition to training facilities, the park and restaurant are available for owners to spend leisurely time with their dogs. It is expected to attract attention from pet families living not only in Yongin but also in major southern Gyeonggi cities such as Hwaseong Dongtan New Town and Suwon Yeongtong-gu.
LG Uplus plans to expand the ForDong School campuses nationwide. ForDong School operates detailed educational programs necessary for dogs, including ▲socialization training ▲walking training ▲etiquette training ▲aggression testing ▲pre-visit consultations. Sessions can be up to 8 times, with options for one-on-one personal instruction or group classes of 6 to 10 dogs.
Lee Ji-hoon, PO of LG Uplus Pet Mass Squad, said, “With the growth of 6.4 million pet families in Korea, interest in related industries such as tourism products and healthcare involving pets is increasing. We will help many customers prevent dog bite accidents through ForDong School’s professional training and take the lead in establishing a proper dog culture.”
