After-School Academy Classrooms and Cooking Experience Rooms Established
A dedicated cultural activity space where Hwasun County youth can discover their talents and dreams is being established.
Hwasun County in Jeollanam-do announced that it held the completion ceremony for the Hwasun County Youth Training Center on the 12th, which began construction in December 2021 at 212 Gyori, Hwasun-eup.
The completion ceremony was attended by National Assembly member Shin Jeong-hoon, Deputy County Governor Kang Jong-cheol, Hwasun County Council Chairman Ha Seong-dong, Council member Kim Ji-sook, Jo Young-rae, Superintendent of Hwasun Office of Education, Kim Jong-myeong, Head of NongHyup Bank Hwasun Branch, Choi Hyung-ho, Chief of Hwasun Fire Station, Lee Seong-woo, Leader of Namdo Ai Jikimi, Choi Ha-young, Chairperson of Hwasun County Youth Participation Committee, and Yang Gyu-seung, Director of Hwasun County Youth Counseling and Welfare Center.
The club ‘Duru Art Ensemble,’ which has been active in the Youth Culture House band class, performed a pre-ceremony show to celebrate the completion of the Hwasun County Youth Training Center.
The Hwasun County Youth Training Center was built with a total project cost of 11.2 billion KRW, including national and provincial subsidies, covering three above-ground floors with a total floor area of 2,687.51㎡.
The first floor includes after-school academy classrooms, an indoor assembly hall, a banquet hall (party room), a coin karaoke room, an internet zone with laptop access, and a lounge area.
The second floor provides youth-exclusive leisure activity spaces such as a dedicated sports activity area where young people can freely run and play, a cooking experience room for baking, a dance practice room for unrestricted dancing, a band room for free musical performances, and club rooms.
The third floor is equipped with meeting rooms, a sand therapy room, psychological counseling rooms, a youth counseling and welfare center, and an out-of-school youth support center.
Deputy County Governor Kang Jong-cheol stated, “The Hwasun County Youth Training Center was created as a space to help youth discover their talents and dreams and grow into healthy members of society. Moving forward, we will actively develop and operate special programs in connection with schools and the local community so that it becomes a communication channel and a space for harmony among youth.”
