Beach Festival Held at Songho Beach... Developing a Signature Tourist Attraction as a 'Four Seasons Festival'
Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, is fostering four-season festivals as Haenam's representative tourism products.
According to the county on the 11th, the Songho Beach Summer Festival will be held for three days from the 28th to the 30th at Ttangkkeut Village Songho Beach.
At this summer festival held at Songho Beach, where dense pine trees and a calm sea like a lake create a beautiful scenery, there will be a celebratory show featuring popular singers, a fireworks show, and a beach song festival.
Additionally, on the wide white sandy beach, events such as WATERBOMB, bubble shows, and circus performances will continue, and playgrounds and snack romantic pubs will operate, showcasing the essence of a summer festival for the whole family to enjoy together.
Haenam-gun is strengthening the competitiveness of its festivals by establishing the previously sporadic festivals of the 8th local government administration into seasonal events.
Accordingly, this year, the Songho Beach Festival will be expanded as the representative summer festival to serve as a foundation for revitalizing summer tourism.
Earlier, the Dalma-godo Healing Festival and the Children's Dinosaur Grand Festival held in April and May were successfully hosted as representative spring festivals, promoting the festival brand nationwide.
The Dalma-godo Healing Festival reaffirmed Dalma-godo's status as a sacred place for walking travelers nationwide, and the Haenam Children's Dinosaur Grand Festival, held for the first time this year, attracted about 25,000 visitors despite bad weather, showing potential for development as a differentiated children's festival.
Following the Songho Beach Summer Festival, festivals will continue every month starting next month, the beginning of autumn.
From the 8th to the 10th of next month, the Myeongnyang Great Victory Festival will be held at the Usuyeong tourist site, and from October 7th to 9th, a camping expo and music festival will be held at Osiano, a nationally representative camping site.
In particular, in November, from the 3rd to the 5th, the Haenam Minam Festival, a distinctive taste festival made with Haenam's abundant agricultural and marine products and Jeollanam-do's representative food festival, is scheduled to take place.
The winter festival, marking both the end and the beginning of the year, will be the Sunrise and Sunset Festival held at Ttangkkeut Village, the starting point of Eurasia.
County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan said, “Under the 8th local government administration, Haenam-gun is establishing festivals that were sporadic due to COVID-19 and other reasons into seasonal events to strengthen festival competitiveness and develop them as representative content by branding four-season festivals. Having confirmed sufficient competitiveness through the spring festivals, we will revitalize the local economy by attracting floating populations through four-season festivals.”
