Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, Holds Career and College Admission Fair to Encourage Examinees About Four Months Before the CSAT
Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, attended the '2024 One-Stop Career and College Admission Fair' held at the Gangdong Arts Center on the 7th, encouraging examinees and parents who are busy preparing for the CSAT, which is about four months away.
This fair was organized to assist in establishing college admission strategies by inviting top experts in the college admission field to Gangdong-gu, as the number of CSAT test-takers this year is expected to be the lowest ever, leading to significant changes in the admission cutoff scores due to test difficulty and other factors.
In particular, a college admission strategy seminar by Park Kwon-woo, author of 'Eat Watermelon and Go to College' and a top expert in public education admissions, was held simultaneously online and offline, drawing great response from about 2,700 students and parents.
Twenty major admission officers from Seoul's top 20 universities and specialized college counselors provided one-on-one customized consultations for each university, offering a valuable opportunity for students and parents struggling with the rapidly changing admission environment to resolve their concerns.
Mayor Lee Soo-hee said, “I fully empathize with the hardships faced by examinees and parents in the fierce admission battle,” and added, “I hope this one-stop career and college admission fair has been of practical help to examinees and parents in preparing for college admission.”
