Individual 40-minute in-depth counseling based on students' grades with a college admission specialist teacher in a 1:1 setting
Priority recruitment for general high schools until July 13, first-come-first-served individual participant registration from July 18 to 21
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘Gwangjin Customized 1:1 Consulting’ in preparation for the 2024 college admission early decision process.
With the 2024 college early application period starting on September 11, the district has prepared this event to provide practical admission information and support early decision strategies for examinees and their parents.
The consulting will be held from August 8 to 9 at the Gwangjin-gu Office Auditorium.
A current college admission specialist teacher from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education’s University Admission Guidance Team will conduct 40-minute one-on-one in-depth counseling tailored to each student’s individual grades. The consulting will provide specific guidance on early application strategies, university and department selection, and other preparations for the early decision process.
The participants are 240 examinees (including repeaters) who reside in Gwangjin-gu or attend high schools located in Gwangjin-gu. There will be 8 sessions per day, and participants will be recruited for each session.
First, the district will prioritize recruiting interested students from seven general high schools in the area until July 13, and from July 18 to 21, individual participants will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis for the remaining sessions.
Individual participants can apply through the Gwangjin-gu Office website or the Gwangjin Education Information app.
Final selection results will be individually notified on July 25. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Education Support Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.
Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “We have prepared this opportunity to help examinees strategically prepare for the upcoming college early decision process,” adding, “I hope everyone sets clear goals and application directions to achieve their dream of entering their desired university.”
The district plans to hold a ‘High School Admission Explanation Session for Middle School Students to Understand the High School Curriculum’ in September, and ‘College Admission Explanation Sessions and Regular Decision Consulting’ from November to December.
