On the 11th, Lotte Super announced that starting this month, it will implement a "Special Summer Free Delivery" service that offers free delivery for heavy items such as watermelons, bottled water, and rice regardless of the purchase amount. This expands the existing offline delivery service that was provided only to customers who purchased over 30,000 KRW, allowing customers to receive free delivery even if they buy just one of the specified items. This service will be available at about 130 stores, including the Yujin branch, which already offer both online and offline delivery services. Customers can request the service at each store’s customer center or checkout counter.

Lotte Super stated that this service was prepared to attract customers living within a 500m radius, who have the highest visit frequency. Due to the nature of the supermarket business, there are significantly more customers shopping at offline stores than online, so securing customers living within this radius is essential to improving competitiveness in the supermarket trade area. By strengthening this delivery service, Lotte Super plans to focus on nearby residents and attract more visiting customers than before.

The delivery item criteria are as follows: one watermelon (6 kg or more), one bag of rice (5 kg or more), one pack of toilet paper (24 rolls or more), one bottle of liquid detergent (3 liters or more), and one container of powder detergent (3 kg or more). Bottled water (300 ml × 20 packs, 500 ml × 20 packs, 2 liters × 6 packs) can be mixed by volume and delivered up to two packs maximum.

Additionally, Lotte Super will expand the delivery coverage area by more than 1 km for 32 stores, including the Cheorwon branch. These expanded stores are located in areas with low population density, where the proportion of customers coming from beyond a 500m radius is higher than in urban areas. Lotte Super expects that consumers who feel burdened by long-distance shopping will newly use this service, thereby expanding the visiting customer base.
