Daehyeong Holdings Signs Business Agreement to Enhance Elderly Welfare in Housing, Medical Care, and Healthcare

Daehyung Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that it has signed a business agreement on welfare projects aimed at improving housing, medical care, and healthcare for the elderly with STHIS, a subsidiary of Seoul National University Technology Holdings, and Dankook Sanguiwon, a subsidiary of Dankook University Technology Holdings, at the 8th floor of the Sanlim Vision Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Daehyung Holdings, STHIS, and Dankook Sanguiwon agreed on the need for a new senior town that integrates housing, medical care, and healthcare to ensure a healthy old age for the elderly. They also agreed to actively participate in elderly welfare and senior healthcare projects centered around Dankook Sanguiwon’s ‘Huenlock’ brand.

Choi Gyudong, CEO of Dankook Sanguiwon, emphasized, “With the rapid increase in the elderly population, the demand for silver towns is skyrocketing, and there is a need to expand elderly welfare facilities specialized in healthcare and programs.” He added, “It is meaningful to establish a collaborative system with Daehyung Holdings, which has expertise in finance and smart farms, and STHIS, which specializes in research and technology.” He explained, “Although we have been operating programs that provide smart educational content specialized in cognitive education and exercise mechanics to delay dementia and restore muscle function, linking with smart farms can create even greater synergy.”

Lee Hyunghee, CEO of Daehyung Holdings, which operates the smart farm business, explained, “Integrating smart farms into elderly welfare facilities can help the elderly achieve psychological stability and maintain physical strength through light activities.” Kim Suwook, Chairman of the Board and CEO of STHIS, a subsidiary of Seoul National University Technology Holdings, stated, “We will contribute to providing appropriate technologies to maintain the physical and psychological strength of the elderly.”

Additionally, Lee Hyunghee, CEO of Daehyung Holdings, Choi Gyudong, CEO of Dankook Sanguiwon, and Kim Suwook, Chairman of the Board and CEO of STHIS, agreed to establish a medical welfare foundation for this project and to provide medical support for socially vulnerable groups through social contribution programs.

Meanwhile, a smart farm (intelligent farm) is a scientific agricultural method that uses ICT technology to monitor and manage crop growth environments remotely or automatically without spatial or temporal constraints, maintaining optimal conditions. This method not only increases agricultural production but also drastically reduces labor and working hours. Since it does not require heavy physical labor, elderly people can voluntarily participate, making it an opportunity not only for crop production but also for psychological healing and physical recovery.
